Marine Veteran Injured by Non-Lethal Rounds at Occupy Oakland

Scott Olsen was at 14th Street and Broadway when he was shot by either San Francisco Sheriffs deputies or Palo Alto Police,  according to RT . “We need medic!” one protester is heard screaming. “Medic! Medic!” “What happened?” another asked. “He got shot!” As Olsen is carried away, he appears unconscious and bloody, unable to even respond when asked his name. Olsen is associated with Veterans for Peace. ~~~

Occupy the Present Moment

The lure of occupying the present moment is what got me to my first Occupation. That and the fact that October 15th is World Occupation Day. I am in touch with many people who support the movement, but are unable to directly participate. I suspect that occupying the present moment, where ever one might be, can be one way to bridge that gap, and to help benefit the cause. I am sensing that this is Occupy movement really is more of a lifestyle, and I wait anxiously to see how this will unfold. Comfortable with ambiguity seems to be the theme lately. It is driving "left brainers" crazy!
